Going to the Bar for a Date

Bars are kind of a last minute date idea.  If you do end up with nothing to do because of scheduling or just bad timing, then a bar isn’t too bad.  Just find a bar that is somewhat classy.  Taking a girl to a dive bar on a first date is probably not the best idea.

Try to find a bar that is a little more upscale but still has cheap beer on tap.  The best thing to order at a bar, especially if your date likes beer, is the house sampler.  This is where the bar will give you four or five smaller glasses of beer that you can sample.

This is often found at breweries, but a lot of bars will let you do this with what is on tap.  It can be a fun way to experience different beers but it is also a way to get pleasantly buzzed from trying so much beer.

Wine however, can be just as great, a little more expensive, but considered romantic.

The office romance – is this good or bad?

The workplace is well known to be a great place to meet new people especially in the dating world but there are a lot of things that can be said about the office romance, both good and bad. If you are looking into indulging yourself in a little bit of work play there are a couple of things that you should bear in mind first.

First of all, there are some policies in certain workplaces where it is clearly stated that dating co-workers is not allowed. It might be wise to check this out in your company handbook before you start looking into hooking up with someone that works with you. The last thing that you will want is to get fired because of your personal romance situation.

Remember that you are going to be spending eight hours or so per day with the other person and then hanging out with them after work hours. Remember that the latest office romance is the perfect setting for new gossip so be prepared for other people to talk about you. It is a hard task, trying to keep a personal life private when it involves co-workers and you will fall prey to the gossip queens and kings of your office.

There are many things that can cause your office romance to go bad but if you know the problems that you will face up front, you will have a better chance of making it work for you and overcoming the obstacles.
