Is Online Dating for the Good Looking?

There are a lot of people on online dating sites and that means any size, shape and looks.  Online dating is not only for super models.  There seems to be some strange need for people to put fake photos of themselves on their profiles to make themselves look more attractive.  This level of deception is really unnecessary because it is more important to be yourself than to misrepresent yourself in this way.

It is more important to be honest than to be good looking when it comes to dating online.  That might seem like a strange statement, however, you will lose your chance for a real relationship with someone if you are found to be misrepresenting yourself.  Long lasting relationships or even good and healthy relationships are not dependent on looks, rather they are dependent on trust, honesty and caring.  This won’t show through in a picture anyway.

Being yourself and being confident about yourself makes you much more attractive to a prospective date than any picture.  A good personality, fun and pleasant attitude are good to have when you are looking for people to date online.  Just remember that looks are not everything, looks fade and being shallow is not the way to find the one you should be with.
